The Sparkle Box - Review

I was so  excited when I received a review copy of The Sparkle Box in my mail.   The story is what Christmas is all about.  The illustrations added that extra beauty to this already wonderful book. My grandson is six and he has decided that he would like start this tradition in his home.  Having a child read this book to you and watching his mind decide that this idea can work for him made me love this story more. Although this is a story for young children to understand the meaning of Christmas, like me, it moved me reading this with my little man.

The greatest part of Christmas is the joy we share with others.  I can't wait to hear more from this author.

Thank you to  Ideals Children's Books for allowing me to review a wonderful story and also introducing me to a great author and illustrator.  The review is entirely mine and I was not given any compensation for it.

MORE ABOUT JILL HARDIE

Author Jill Hardie, her husband, and their two children began the tradition of placing a Sparkle Box for Jesus under their Christmas tree approximately seven years ago. The first time they opened His gift, the commercialism of the season melted away and they experienced profound peace and happiness. It's Jill's hope that The Sparkle Box book will ignite a new Christmas tradition that helps center Christmas in the true joy of the season.

"There are many traditions that help us remember the remarkable and beautiful story of the birth of Jesus. My hope is that The Sparkle Box will help us remember Jesus as he is today – in the present. It encourages us to ask the question,  'What gift can we give Jesus on His birthday that will bring Him joy?'- Jill Hardie

On her website Jill Hardie the author  has several gifts ideas to make this Christmas on to remember and to start creating memories.
