Regina Jennings’ ‘At Love’s Bidding’ Cozy Winter Night Giveaway

After a cross-country trip to track down a sold painting that could ruin her family's business forever, Miranda Wimplegate forms an unlikely but charged partnership with livestock auctioneer Wyatt Ballentine in Regina Jennings' At Love's Bidding. Miranda and her grandfather discover their new auction house doesn’t deal in fine antiques, but in livestock. And its frustratingly handsome manager, Wyatt, is annoyed to discover his fussy new bosses don’t know a thing about the business he’s single-handedly kept afloat. Faced with more heads of cattle than they can count–but no mysterious painting–Miranda and Wyatt must try and prevent a bad situation from getting worse.

Last One Home - Review

Cassie Carter lives in Seattle, with her daughter Aimee, and is slowly picking up the pieces of a bad past.  It has been years but she finally feels as if her life is improving and is learning to enjoy life.  She is working at a hair salon and is also working extra hours on a house that she and her daughter will be moving into thanks to Habitat for Humanity.   Cassie is also beginning to repair the lost relationship between her two sisters, Karen and Nicole.  Steve Brody walks into this story, not as a knight in shining armor, but as a friend that Cassie can talk with about all of the different issues that is bothering her.  Perfect amount of romance among a beautiful story of grace.

This is not the typical romance novel by Debbie Macomber, but it is a story of love lost and love found.  It is a story of learning to forgive and to trust in others.  It is also a story of second chances and how easy it sounds but how hard it actually is to accomplish.  God must play a part in your life to accomplish all of this.  This story hit very close to home for me so I feel as if this was one of Debbie Macomber’s better books.  She dealt with the issue of abuse with a realistic view of the trust issues that are involved.  This is a stand-along book, but I hope that we will see more of these wonderful characters.

The Sparkle Box - Review

I was so  excited when I received a review copy of The Sparkle Box in my mail.   The story is what Christmas is all about.  The illustrations added that extra beauty to this already wonderful book. My grandson is six and he has decided that he would like start this tradition in his home.  Having a child read this book to you and watching his mind decide that this idea can work for him made me love this story more. Although this is a story for young children to understand the meaning of Christmas, like me, it moved me reading this with my little man.

The greatest part of Christmas is the joy we share with others.  I can't wait to hear more from this author.

Thank you to  Ideals Children's Books for allowing me to review a wonderful story and also introducing me to a great author and illustrator.  The review is entirely mine and I was not given any compensation for it.

Author Jill Hardie, her husband, and their two children began the tradition of placing a Sparkle Box for Jesus under their Christmas tree approximately seven years ago. The first time they opened His gift, the commercialism of the season melted away and they experienced profound peace and happiness. It's Jill's hope that The Sparkle Box book will ignite a new Christmas tradition that helps center Christmas in the true joy of the season.

"There are many traditions that help us remember the remarkable and beautiful story of the birth of Jesus. My hope is that The Sparkle Box will help us remember Jesus as he is today – in the present. It encourages us to ask the question,  'What gift can we give Jesus on His birthday that will bring Him joy?'- Jill Hardie

On her website Jill Hardie the author  has several gifts ideas to make this Christmas on to remember and to start creating memories.

Toward the Sunrise

Toward the Sunrise (Until The Dawn .5)

Another great story by Elizabeth Camden

Julia and Ashton's story was a sweet and quick read. There were trials that they both went through but they were able to overcome them and found a common love for each other.

Heartsong Cottage - Review

Haunted by the loss of his wife and son, Daniel Garrett left the police force to devote his life to finding missing children. But he still hasn't found a way to mend the wounds of his past-until he attends a wedding in the small mountain town of Eternity Springs...and meets a beautiful, intriguing woman who offers a glimpse of something Daniel thought he'd never have again.
Shannon O'Toole isn't looking for romance. Ever since her fiance's death, she created a quiet life for herself restoring Victorian cottages. Still, she can't deny her attraction to the handsome, broad-shouldered stranger. Daniel makes her feel things she's hasn't felt in years-including the desire to share her secrets. But can Shannon trust a detective when doing so could bring danger to her cottage door? In Eternity Springs, anything-and everything-is possible...

Two weary strangers are about to rest their burdens in Eternity Springs, where there's hope for every broken heart.
Emily March is the New York Times, Publishers Weekly, and USA Today bestselling author of over thirty novels, including the critically acclaimed Eternity Springs series. Publishers Weekly calls March a "master of delightful banter," and her heartwarming, emotionally charged stories have been named to Best of the Year lists by Publishers Weekly, Library Journal, and Romance Writers of America.

“March excels at creating tortured characters in need of redemption and renewel, and this book is no exception. It has plenty to offer from light suspense to romance, close friendships in a small town setting, dogs, and angels. Recommend to fans of Robyn Carr’s Virgin River series and Susan Mallery’s Fool’s Gold series”—Booklist, STARRED REVIEW!

“Lovable… the plot contains more than enough twists and turns to keep the story real and satisfying.”—Publishers Weekly
