What Once was Lost - Review

What Once was Lost by Kim Vogel Sawyer is a story about a love for others and how giving of yourself can show God’s love in all possible situations.

Christina Willems is the caretaker of the Brambleville Asylum for the Poor for several orphans.  When the unthinkable occurs and she is forced to separate her “family” she finds it hard to place a young blind boy named, Tommy.  The last person she wanted to as was Levi Johnson, who is living as a hermit and doesn’t seem to have the compassion for Tommy.  For these three characters, all broken in their own way together they are able to accomplish much.  And there is even a hint of romanceJ

I am impressed with each book I read by Kim Vogel Sawyer.  She always has characters that are so enjoyable to getting to know. It swept me from the beginning until the very last page.  Don’t miss out on this wonderful story.

Devotion - Review

Devotion by Marianne Evans is a book that offers second chances.  Marianne takes you on a journey through a wonderful couple’s life.  After nine years of marriage Juliet and Kellen seem to be growing apart.  Will their commitment so many years ago bring them back together?

This was a hard book to read because of its content.  Marianne did a great job in showing the characters true feelings.  It take three to make a marriage-God, you and your spouse.  But above all you must be committed.

Stranded - Review

When her friend vanishes from a cruise ship, reporter Darcy St. James isn't satisfied with their explanation that she simply left her job of her own accord. Something isn't lining up, and Darcy believes the only way to find the truth is to put herself in Abby's position. Within days, Darcy learns her friend wasn't the only person to disappear mysteriously. Last summer, a woman vanished under almost identical circumstances.

 

Gage McKenna has taken a summer-long stint leading adventure excursions for the passengers of various cruise lines that dock for a few days of sightseeing. He's surprised to find Darcy working aboard one of the ships, investigating a troubling report. Something sinister is going on and the deeper they dig the more Gage fears they've only discovered the tip of the iceberg.

Its been a long time since I have read a mystery releated book and I found this to be a wonderful easy read.  I know that Stranded is book three of a series of books but I was able to know these characters without having read the other two books.  But I will go back and read them.  Hope this isn't the end of this series.

Dani's characters seemed so real to me.  She writes in a way that gets you involved in her plot and its such an enjoyable read.
